Terms of Service
SkyMe is a free, open-source Fabric mod for Hypixel SkyBlock, made by one hobby developer (“we” and “us” on this page). These terms apply when you download or use the SkyMe mod, this website (skyme.dev) or SkyMe’s free online features: cape sharing, Crystal Hollows waypoint sharing and the Hypixel lookup server (api.skyme.dev). By using them you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use SkyMe.
In short
- SkyMe is free software under the GPL-3.0-or-later and comes “as is”.
- You are responsible for following Hypixel’s rules and Minecraft’s terms.
- Only upload capes you have the rights to, and nothing illegal or offensive.
- Be fair to the free online features; they can change or stop at any time.
- SkyMe Tools gives information, not guarantees: prices move, and you decide how you play.
Licence
SkyMe is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 3 or (at your option) any later version. Parts of SkyMe come from other open-source projects under their own compatible licences, which are listed in SkyMe’s credits. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the GPL gives you over the software. These terms add rules only for the website and the online features we run.
No affiliation
SkyMe is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mojang, Microsoft, Hypixel, Discord or SkinMC, or by the authors of the mods SkyMe credits. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB; all other names and trademarks belong to their owners.
Server rules and your account
You are responsible for how you use SkyMe and for following the rules of the servers you play on, including the Hypixel Server Rules, as well as the Minecraft End User License Agreement and Mojang’s usage guidelines. Server owners decide what is allowed on their servers, and their rules can change.
SkyMe is built to play fair: it never moves you, turns your camera or clicks for you, and solvers only highlight (see Fair play). A few features are marked in SkyMe’s settings as carrying extra risk, for example with a ⚠ sign or a note in their description. They are opt-in, and you use them at your own risk.
Online features
Cape sharing, Crystal Hollows waypoint sharing and the Hypixel lookup server are offered free, as a convenience. They have rate limits, and we may change, limit or stop any of them at any time, without notice. When using them, please don’t:
- access them other than through the SkyMe mod, or use automated tools to scrape them;
- try to get around their rate limits or checks, overload them, or break into them;
- use the lookup server as a general Hypixel API proxy, or send false waypoint reports;
- pretend to be another player.
What these features receive and keep is described in the Privacy Policy.
Uploaded capes
When you share a cape you uploaded, it is shown to other SkyMe players. By sharing it, you confirm that you made it or have the right to use it, and you give us permission to store it and show it to other SkyMe players for as long as it is shared. Please don’t share capes that:
- are illegal, or infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- are sexual, hateful, violent, harassing or otherwise offensive;
- contain someone else’s personal information.
We may remove any shared cape, or stop a player from sharing capes, at our discretion and without notice. To report a cape, see Contact. Official Mojang capes and capes from the SkinMC library belong to their owners and creators.
SkyMe Tools (members)
SkyMe Tools (/app/) is a members-only part of this website. While it is being tested, access is by invitation only and free. Your invite and passkey are personal:
- don’t share your access, invite link or account with anyone else;
- don’t scrape, copy in bulk, resell or republish what the tools show, or use them through scripts or bots;
- don’t use them to break Hypixel’s rules: SkyMe Tools never buys, sells or clicks for you, and you must not connect them to anything that does (macros, auto-buyers, scripts).
Flip rankings, profit estimates, leveling plans and the assistant’s answers are information based on public market data and research notes. They can be out of date or wrong, markets move, and other players compete for the same trades. They are not advice and not a promise of any result in game; you decide what to do with them. Coins, items and access are never sold for real money here. We may change, limit or end SkyMe Tools, or any member’s access, at any time.
Third-party services
Some features use services run by others, such as Mojang and Microsoft (Minecraft accounts and capes), Hypixel (game data), Discord (Rich Presence), SkinMC (the cape library), capes.me, GitHub (updates and data files) and Cloudflare (hosting, and the AI model behind the SkyMe Tools assistant). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply when you use them. We are not responsible for them.
No warranty
SkyMe, this website and the online features are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law. We don’t promise that they will be available, error-free or compatible with every setup, or that information they show (such as prices, timers or solver hints) is accurate. Keeping a backup of your settings is a good idea.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, SkyMe, this website or the online features. This includes direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, and loss of in-game items, coins or progress, as well as any action a server or service takes on your account. Some places don’t allow certain warranties or liabilities to be excluded; in those places, these sections apply only as far as the law allows.
Stopping and suspension
You can stop using SkyMe at any time by uninstalling it; the Privacy Policy explains how to remove a shared cape first. We may block access to the online features for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The new version is posted on this page with a new effective date, and it applies from then on. If you keep using SkyMe after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply to them. Nothing in them limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live that can’t be waived by agreement. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
